Anti-Cases

This isn’t a failure page. It’s a “this got weird but stay with me” page.

We try so hard to be shiny and chic. But connection doesn’t happen on glossy surfaces. It happens where we trip a little.

Besides studies show, curated glossy perfection makes us feel worse.

Anti-Case 1 (You’ll love this)
A novel about a global pandemic

Between 2016 and 2019, I worked on a novel about a global pandemic and its weird ripple effects, seen through a grumpy old man and his grumpy old friends in Northern Finland. (I love writing black humor.)

Then… well, you know. Did I mention black humor?

Luckily it’s a story, not a movie — and I’m a storyteller. I still love the main characters, even though they annoy me. But we’ll finish the journey when the time is right.

Anti-Case 1. Global Wellbeing Platform
(Spoiler: The startup didn’t start up.)

In 2019, I founded a startup, a very community & purpose driven future unicorn to serve the very underserved global community of wellbeing. The problem was there, the solution was here. We did the research. The data looked great. The need was clear.

And then…
It did not happen.

What I learned was: to try anyway. I got to know gorgeous people. (People are always the best part.) After I got over the sting, I got to keep the story.

it's the real stuff
our weird cracks and crumbs & stories that connect us.
